Guys, if you’ve been following along on social media, you’ve probably already seen these pics. But if you haven’t, or if you’d like an in-depth look at our paint selections in the new house, keep reading! I realize this post is a little behind, but I’m happy to share it because of the insane transformation the paint alone has made in our new home.

We chose Steely Gray for our bathroom cabinetry and mirror trim and we couldn’t be happier. The rooms are cool, crisp, and really make the most of the lighter shade on the walls and bright white trim. Even without lighting installed, the rooms feel airy and remind us of a spa, which is just what we’re looking for in our bathrooms. All we need is a couple of lush rugs and pristine towels and we’re good to go!

Our doors and trim are Extra White, and while it made us nervous everything would look too cold with all the cooler grays in the house, we’re pleasantly surprised at how crisp everything looks. We chose the craftsman style 3-panel doors and modern molding to keep things light and a little edgier in the house.

Ah, our favorite room in the house. With the kitchen painted and countertops in place, we couldn’t be happier about our choices. Again, even without lighting installed, everything looks inviting and pristine, and that’s an awesome feeling. Can’t wait to arrange a few bunches of hydrangeas and place a few pumpkins in the house to really make it feel like home.

I wanted to show you all the variations of our main paint color throughout the house at various times of day, minus lighting, and with the pink reflection of the red dirt outside. In some lights, Silverpointe looks really beige, and in some lights it looks very light dove gray. Overall, I think it’s going to lend itself so well to the varying grays we’ve got going on in our furniture and I hope it will really shine against the jewel tones we want to incorporate.
