So, a couple of weeks ago I was perusing my favorite websites for cleaning supplies (Jordan has informed me this isn’t normal behavior, but on the off-chance that you, too, enjoy it, keep reading) and I stumbled across this website called Grove Collaborative. I’m sure many of you have heard of or even regularly used many of the products available through this website but haven’t ever used the service, just like me. Well, when I saw Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day, Method, Tom’s, Seventh Generation, and more, I was interested. Then, when I was offered a freebie set to sign up as a VIP for a 60-day trial, I was definitely hooked.
For all y’all who love to clean just as much as I do and want to give this service a try with me, check out the items I ordered to try out and why I’m excited about continuing this service!
Here’s what I nabbed for just under $30 for my first order on Grove Collaborative:
- Grove Collaborative Glass Spray Bottle
- Method Tub and Tile Spray – Eucalyptus Mint
- Method All Purpose Cleaner – Clementine
- Method Daily Granite Cleaner – Apple Orchard
- Method Daily Steel Cleaner
- Method Glass Cleaner – Waterfall
- Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap – Apple Cider
- Grove Collaborative Walnut Scrubber Sponges
- Mrs. Meyer’s Multi-Surface Cleaner – Apple Cider
- Mrs. Meyer’s Dish Soap – Apple Cider
Each Mrs. Meyer’s item was a freebie, as were the sponges and spray bottle, and then I ordered all my Method go-tos plus a new one for our new fridge (steel cleaner) and new countertops (granite cleaner). Not only do the array of fresh fragrances make me giddy, but I’m excited to make up my own linen spray for the glass bottle and use the walnut scrubber sponges to clean our cast iron skillets since that’s not an easy task.
I see quite a few benefits to using this service, but namely that our favorite products come right to our door every month / 2 months / more. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been out on a grocery run for some specific cleaning items that we can’t find anywhere, so we grab something else in a pinch that ends up not cleaning as well or making our house reek of bleach-y fumes. After being addicted to Method products for as long as I have, it’s a tough sell to get me to try something else, so this is going to cater to that first-world problem I experience every once in a while.
Also something I see as a benefit of using this service: baby supplies! While we don’t currently have kiddos in the house, I hope that we do have babies someday soon, and I think it’s going to be so awesome to have green, baby-friendly products delivered to us as often as we need them. I can’t imagine how much this helps new mommies and daddies keep their sanity and their supply of baby goodies.
Finally, I love the opportunity to experience new cleaning supplies in fragrances / sizes I don’t see anywhere else, not to mention they’re discounted and shipped for free! I think I’m most excited for the cleaning tools–like the gorgeous sponges and glass bottle headed our way as we speak–since they’re not items I seek out in the store. (Here’s to ditching my outdated / cleaner-discolored washcloths in the new house!)
WHAT I LOVE ALREADY
I got a cheerful email confirming my order once I snagged all my items and checked out, which is standard procedure these days. But then, just a little while ago, I got a sweet text message — yes, text message — from someone on the Grove Collaborative team who is there to answer my questions and make adjustments to my orders as I need them 24/7. What. I’m so excited that this service is not only committed to a greener future and features all of my favorite supplies (plus many new ones I’m eager to try out!), but they’re also committed to outstanding customer service, and that goes a long way with me.
I’m also pumped about joining as a VIP for free shipping no matter the price of the order each month. I grabbed a few items I know we’re going to need in the new house that we don’t need right now for our first order, and I’m hoping to add the more luxurious items once we’ve moved in and have a better idea of what we’re going to need to keep our new house clean.
Stay tuned for a post about some items I’m looking forward to adding to my next order!
