As I mentioned earlier, we’re so excited to have some new outdoor entertaining space on our patio and I’m thrilled by how pretty it is already! We don’t currently use our outdoor space except when Jordan grills out in the summer, and even then we find ourselves coming right back inside because the patio isn’t covered and its concrete is cracked from earthquake damage. So, we’re looking forward to finding a new home for our fire pit, grill, table and chairs!
Some of the pics aren’t as up-to-date as the rest of the build progress because the back has been where the extra (nail-and-screw-riddled) lumber has been stored, but I promise to share some updated pics soon!
Cedar beams will eventually replace the plywood holding up the corners here:
I think this may be one of my favorite framing shots of the house, because from here you can see our patio, dining room, and through to where the kitchen island will be. Yay!
Here’s a peek at everything wrapped before it was bricked:
And if you’re on the edge of your seat wondering what little surprise we have for the patio, take a look!
This is one of the most fun changes we made to customize the home to us. The cheerful navy with the crisp white trim (and a look at our pretty brick) feel so lovely in person, and we can’t wait to put our furniture outside and enjoy the wonderful fall weather when we move in. Hopefully our patio concrete will be poured soon so I can share an update of what the space will really look like!
More room-by-room posts are coming your way this week! Follow along to stay updated, because things are moving quickly! 🙂
