It’s not too early to think about your October / November decorations, and one of the easiest, least expensive, and most personal ways to update your abode for fall is by decorating a few pumpkins for both indoors and outdoors. Look no further than Pinterest for a plethora of inspiration, motivation, and fabulous ideas to make your pumpkins suit your style. I’ve picked some of my favorites here – try them on decorative pumpkins instead of real ones to use them for years to come!
This is one of the simplest and prettiest pumpkin hacks I’ve seen for fall! Just paint the pumpkin whatever color you like, grab some pretty gems, and glue them wherever you’d like. These would be gorgeous inside on your coffee table or mantle, but I can imagine they would be especially eye-catching outdoors!

You can never have too many sequins, so why not try them on your pumpkins this fall? I love the gold and white palette, but my Mama and I have tried turquoise and bronze sequins and glitter on plain ol’ orange pumpkins before, and they look just as lovely! Don’t be limited to dots, either – chevron and stripes look fabulous, too!

Traditional fall colors not your thing? Give these little lovelies a try. I absolutely love how simple and pretty these are! If you have kiddos, this is a great choice for them, because you can’t mess up!

Love decorating but hate waiting for paint to dry or glitter to adhere? Give this confetti pumpkin a try – all you need is a pumpkin and some brads or pushpins! You can try a metallic approach with gold or silver, or you can go bolder with colored pins, like the pumpkin in the above photo.

If you’re not that into pumpkin decorating but you’re looking for a pretty piece for your tablescape, give this pumpkin vase a try! It would also make a lovely hostess gift and it’s super simple to make! I think gold paint and purple or crimson mums would look gorgeous, but you can also go for something preppy, girly, or simple – suit your taste!
