Today’s short and sweet post is all about one of the best transitional (and, I would argue, year-round) colors for fall: pear. It’s sharp, edgy, clean, and an unusual choice for fall, which is why I find myself reaching for it week after week. Take a look at some pieces to add to your wardrobe and to refresh your decor before the holidays!
For Your Closet
While this color isn’t for the faint of heart, it’s a great choice for your fall wardrobe because it plays well well gray, black, navy, camel, cream, cobalt, plum, and a host of other brights and neutrals. Pear is gorgeous on any skin tone and hair color, and looks especially nice with vampy lips or nails. If you find yourself reaching for jewel tones season after season, pear is the right shade for you, because it’s unexpected and functions much like your favorite show-stopping bauble-inspired colors. If you’re shy about the shade, try a scarf, nail polish, or swipe of eyeliner in your waterline, but if you’d rather have bolder color, invest in a great dress, wild heels, or funky shades.
For Your Home
You can’t go wrong with pear for your fall decor. It looks so sharp and utilitarian, and odds are you don’t see it much because it can be a little bit daunting. Try incorporating some bright greenery, velvet pillows, or yummy candles if you’re not ready to fully commit, and if you’re looking to make some big changes, pick up an end table, a few art pieces, or some club chairs to switch things up.
