Hints and Hacks

The Natural

If you were hopeful this post would be about baseball, you’re on the wrong blog. Today’s post is all about incorporating nature-inspired pieces into your home and your bauble collection for a polished look with an edge (literally).

For your home…

The Natural

Incorporating natural decor into your home is a simple and long-lasting way to make an impact. Try picking up a few agate bookends, stone hooks, pyrite-topped bauble boxes, rustic crystal votive holders, or even a gorgeous and artful centerpiece for your dining room table. If you want to incorporate something quietly impactful, choose lighter colors and less metallic pieces, but if you want something bolder, don’t shy away from the metallic pieces, sharp edges, and bright colors.

For your jewelry box…

The Natural

One of the easiest ways to incorporate natural stone pieces into your life is through your jewelry. You can choose simple, polished pieces, like the tiger eye earrings above, or you can choose bold, off-kilter agate slice and pearl earrings in a hot magenta color. What’s wonderful about using natural stone pieces in your bauble collection is that you can vary the boldness, color, and edge of the pieces to complement anything in your wardrobe. (Bonus points for putting your pretty gems in a natural stone jewelry box like those above!)

Are you a fan of natural, rough-cut stones? How do you incorporate them into your decor or jewelry?
